A Child Called "It"

I wanted to pass along information on a book that I read in my Family and Consumer Science class.  This is my core class.  I decided to read aloud to my class.  I choose to read A Child Called “It”, by Dave Pelzer.  It is a true story of a child living in an abusive home.  Several of the units in my FACS classes deal with child development, parenting, relationships, and families.  The book A Child Called “It” is an easy to understand read and gives insight into the life of an abused child.  It is a very emotional story and the students ask everyday when they come in if we can just read all day.  They are really enjoying the book and the story.
